Program Description
Welcome to the Florida Sea Grant Extension Program in Miami-Dade County. We are committed to enhancing the practical use and conservation of coastal and marine resources for a sustainable economy and environment. Here you will find the programs, materials, and opportunities that comprises our educational mission. Florida Sea Grant is a partnerships of state and federal agencies, businesses, and citizens. We are one of 31 Sea Grant programs nationwide that together form the National Sea Grant College Program.
The Miami-Dade County Florida Sea Grant Extension Program is located at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) on Virginia Key, Florida.
Program sectors: marine and environmental stewardship, water quality, coastal habitats and ecosystems, boater education, recreational and commercial fisheries. These programs target boaters, anglers, resource managers, scientists, and the general public.
